On april 9th 2027 we set out on a Grandparents & Grandchildren spesial. Here the focus is on creating lasting memories together with loved ones and our beloved huskies.

A 3-day dog sledding journey starting and ending at Trasti & Trine, taking you into the heart of the Finnmarksvidda plateau.
After a safety briefing and introduction to your own team of huskies, you set off directly from the kennel and follow the Alta River before climbing into open mountain terrain. The first day includes a steady ascent, a lunch break around an open fire, and a final stretch across lakes in the Arctic light before arriving at Jotka mountain lodge. Here you care for the dogs, settle them for the night, enjoy dinner, and may experience the Northern Lights.
The second day is flexible, with routes chosen based on weather and snow conditions. You help care for the dogs, enjoy a day of sledding through varied terrain, and again share a lunch outdoors by the fire. The day ends at the lodge with dinner and another opportunity to watch for the Northern Lights.
On the final day, you travel back toward the kennel, descending the same terrain you climbed earlier. After a lunch stop on the way, you arrive back at Trasti & Trine, where the dogs are unhooked and returned to their kennels. The trip concludes with a light meal and a recap of the journey.
Throughout the experience you drive your own dog team, take part in daily dog care, and stay in a mountain lodge with all meals, equipment, sled, dogs, and guide included.
