Stuga Karin

Welcome to Stuga Karin, where modern comfort meets the serene beauty of Swedish nature. The cabin is situated on the historic Mistekärr Gård, bordering beautiful open fields where you can often spot deer and moose. On the other side, there is a forest perfect for walks, berry picking, and mushroom foraging. A forest path (approximately 700 m) leads to the large Frisksjön lake, which features a lovely rocky swimming spot and a bathing dock. Here, you can also use a rowboat for relaxation or fishing (fishing permits are included, and the rowboat is shared with guests from the other rental houses in Mistekärr). From the cabin, you have quick access to fantastic cycling paths. It is about 4 kilometers to the summer village of Loftahammar, which offers tourist information, grocery stores, restaurants, a bakery, a harbor, archipelago transport and more. A one-hour drive away is the charming and colorful old town of Västervik, known for its picturesque harbor and cozy shops.

Layout holiday home

When you enter through the front door, you are greeted by a small hallway that leads you into the spacious, modern kitchen. Here, you'll find everything you need to prepare delicious meals after a day full of adventures. The kitchen opens up to the cozy living room, a perfect place to relax together in the evening, perhaps by the crackling open fire. From the living room, you also have access to the spacious modern bathroom, equipped with a toilet, shower, sink, and washing machine—all designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A little hidden behind a wooden door in the kitchen is a staircase leading to the upstairs, where two bedrooms await, both with two comfortable single beds. One of the bedrooms has an additional seating area where you can retreat for a moment of peace and quiet. This bedroom also serves as a passage to the other. In Stuga Karin, you will experience the authentic, peaceful atmosphere and genuine coziness of the Swedish countryside.

A private dock in the Baltic Sea for all guests in Mistekärr is just 2.5 km from the house, accessible via a scenic walking path. It is a perfect spot for fishing, swimming, or mooring your (rental) boat, making it easy to explore the beautiful archipelago. If you wish to rent a motorboat, you can request this at the time of booking.

Stuga Karin is part of the small village of Mistekärr, which also includes Villa Mistekärr (8 persons), Huset Hanna (4 persons), and Huset Arvids Torp (6 persons) nearby. Each house has its own private areas, making them an excellent place for multiple families to vacation together!
