Huset Blidstena

If you love tranquility and nature, then you’re in the right place. Huset Blidstena is a beautiful and spacious home featuring typical Swedish retro design. Nestled in the small village of Blidstena, which has a history stretching back 700 years, the house is surrounded by stunning Swedish nature, with forests, rolling hills, and water within walking distance. The garden borders fields with sheep and horses, making it perfect for relaxing in the garden furniture and firing up the grill in the evening. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and incredible sunsets.

Located centrally in Småland, you’ll have plenty of exciting day trip opportunities. Within a 40-minute drive, you can explore the picturesque town of Västervik, known for its charming harbor and quaint shops. It’s just an hour to Linköping, where you can visit beautiful parks and museums, or to Vimmerby, the home of Astrid Lindgren, featuring themed attractions for fans of her beloved stories.

Layout holidays home

The house is cozy and tastefully furnished. On the ground floor, you will find a spacious living room and dining area, kitchen, bathroom, hallway, and bedroom.

The living room is equipped with satellite TV featuring both Dutch and Swedish channels, as well as a DVD player. The dining area has a table with seating for six. The small ground-floor bedroom is comfortably furnished with a sofa bed. This charming room has wooden floors, a desk, and a coffee table. The large, cozy kitchen boasts a wonderful old-fashioned wood stove and is equipped with an electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, and coffee maker. There’s also a small dining area in the kitchen. 

The bathroom is simple yet functional, equipped with a bathtub and shower, toilet, and sink with a mirror. For your convenience, a washing machine is also available.

Upstairs, there’s a furnished hall with a piano that offers beautiful views of the surroundings. There are two spacious bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Additionally, there is a single foldable bed that can be placed wherever needed, accommodating up to six guests, but a maximum of four adults. 

The house features a large private garden with a patio at the back, where you can enjoy unobstructed views of the rolling landscape and dine outdoors in the evenings. You can use the garden furniture, toys, and grill stored in the shed. It’s a wonderful garden for relaxing and for children to play.

Note: Dogs are not allowed. There is no dishwasher and no Wi-Fi.
