Huset Arvids Torp

Huset Arvids Torp is a wonderful and spacious holiday home with a variety of lovely amenities. It is located on the historic Mistekärr Gård, which borders beautiful open fields where you can often spot deer and moose. On the other side, there is a forest perfect for walks, berry picking, and mushroom hunting. A forest path (about 1 km) leads to the large Frisksjön lake, which features a lovely rocky swimming spot. Here, you can also use a rowboat for relaxation or fishing (fishing permits are included, and the rowboat is shared with guests from the other rental houses in Mistekärr). From the holiday home, you can quickly access fantastic cycling paths. It is about 4 kilometers to the summer village of Loftahammar, which offers tourist information, grocery stores, restaurants, a bakery, a harbor, and archipelago transport. A one-hour drive away is the charming old town of Västervik.

Layout holiday home

This spacious and bright L-shaped house, originally built in 1830 but newly renovated to modern standards, features a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom on the ground floor. All rooms have tiled floors with underfloor heating, and there is a fireplace in the living room. The house is equipped with fiber internet, providing seamless experience when streaming videos or music from your phone to the TV or Bluetooth speaker. A steep staircase in the living room leads to the first floor with two bedrooms (one bedroom accessed via the other). Here, you will find wooden floors and a ceiling that reaches up to the apex. Each bedroom has two beds, accommodating a total of 6 guests.

A private dock in the Baltic Sea is only 2.5 km from the house, accessible via a scenic walking path. It is a perfect spot for fishing, swimming, or mooring your (rental) boat, making it easy to explore the beautiful archipelago. If you wish to rent a motorboat, you can request this at the time of booking.

Huset Arvids Torp is part of the small village of Mistekärr, with also Villa Mistekärr (8 persons), Huset Hanna (4 persons), and Stuga Karin (4 persons) nearby. Each house has its own private areas, making them an excellent place for multiple families to vacation together!
