River Rafting and Sauna Experience

Enjoy an exhilarating whitewater rafting adventure on Kitka River! The adventure starts at Rukapalvelu Safari House, where everyone receives the necessary equipment. After that, a car will take you to Käylä village, where a professional skipper will guide you through the secrets of whitewater rafting and into an amazing adventure! On the 13km route along Kitka River you'll go through a total of seven rapids. Along the way, there will be stops to plan the best routes through the rapids.

The rafting adventure ends in Pohjantähti wilderness camp where a tent sauna will be ready. You can also go for a swim in the lake. 

At the Pohjantähti Camp, you'll also enjoy warm soup by a campfire. 

Minimum group size on the excursion is 6 adults. If we are unable to reach the minimum size by 4 p.m. the previous day, the excursion will be cancelled and payment will be refunded.

Minimum age for the participants is 5 years.

All safaris begin and end at Rukapalvelu Safarihouse. Registration for the activity must be done by 4 p.m. on the previous day.

We provide all the necessary equipment for the program. We recommend wearing your own outdoor-friendly clothes, on top of which we will provide a rain suit, rubber boots, rafting life jackets, and a helmet. We are happy to provide more information on suitable clothing.
