Hiking in Riisitunturi National Park

Welcome to experience the peace and beauty of Riisitunturi National Park!

Riisitunturi is a magnificent hiking destination in every season. In autumn, the landscape glows with vibrant fall colours, while in winter the national park transforms into an enchanting world of snow-covered trees. These sculptural snow formations are created when snow, frost and ice accumulate on the branches.

Led by an experienced guide, you will follow Riisitunturi’s beautiful trails and admire the sweeping views stretching towards the horizon. Along the way, you can enjoy the silence of nature, the fresh fell air and the scenery shaped by the changing seasons.

We will stop at a wilderness shelter to enjoy grilled sausages, fresh sandwiches and warming coffee or tea by an open fire.

The minimum number of participants is four adults. Please book by 4 pm on the day before the excursion. If the minimum group size has not been reached by the booking deadline, the excursion will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.

All excursions start and end at the Rukapalvelu Equipment Rental Shop.

We provide the necessary equipment according to the season and weather conditions. We recommend wearing your own layered outdoor clothing. In winter, warm winter overalls can be worn over your own clothes when needed. We are happy to provide further advice on suitable clothing for the excursion.
