Family Snowmobile Safari 2 persons/ snowmobile

Enjoy a thrilling snowmobile ride over the varied terrain of Kuusamo with your whole family! This safari is suitable also for beginners.

The safari begins with transportation to our wilderness camp in the middle of the forest. After a short introduction to the basic snowmobiling skills with our experienced guide, you will set off on an exciting one-hour ride.

Each snowmobile is shared by two participants, and drivers can switch during the safari, so everyone gets the chance to enjoy both riding and driving.

For families with young children, we offer the option for children to ride in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile driven by our guide, ensuring everyone can join in the fun. We advise that an adult accompany small children while traveling in the sleigh.

Total duration (including transfers): approx. 3 hours

Snowmobiling time: approx. 1 hour

Registration for the activity must be done by 4 p.m. on the previous day.

Minimum group size on this excursion is 4 adults. If we are unable to reach the minimum group size by 4 p.m. on the previous day, the excursion will be cancelled and payment will be refunded.

The required minimum height of the participant is 140cm. Person sitting behind the driver needs to get his/her feet firmly on the snowmobile footboard.

Minimum age for the driver is 15 years, and the person is required to have a valid, at least a class T, driver's license. Drivers must carry their driver's license with them during the safari. Our guides will check the driver's licenses of all drivers before the safari.

The driver is responsible for any damages to the snowmobile. Self-liability in case of an accident is maximum of 1500€.

Driving a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol is forbidden.

All safaris begin and end at Rukapalvelu Gear house.

We provide all the necessary equipment for the program. We recommend wearing your own outdoor-friendly clothes/woolen base layers, on top of which we will provide a winter suit, wool socks, winter boots, gloves, a balaclava, and a helmet. We are happy to provide more information on suitable clothing.
