On this safari, we'll snowmobile through the snowy forests in the enchanting northern evening. On clear nights, we can admire the starry sky, and lucky ones might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights!
Registration for the activity must be done by 4 p.m. on the previous day.
Minimum group size on this excursion is 4 adults. If we are unable to reach the minimum group size by 4 p.m. on the previous day, the excursion will be cancelled and payment will be refunded.
The required minimum height of the participant is 140cm. Person sitting behind the driver needs to get his/her feet firmly on the snowmobile footboard.
Minimum age for the driver is 15 years, and the person is required to have at least a class T driver's license. The driver is responsible for any damages to the snowmobile, and self-liability in case of an accident is 1500€.
Driving a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol is forbidden.
All safaris begin and end at Rukapalvelu Safarihouse.
We provide all the necessary equipment for the program. We recommend wearing your own outdoor-friendly clothes/woolen base layers, on top of which we will provide a winter suit, wool socks, winter boots, gloves, a balaclava, and a helmet. We are happy to provide more information on suitable clothing.
If you are the driver of the snowmobile, please remember to have your valid driver's license with you during the safari. Our guides will check the driver's licenses of all drivers before the safari.
