They are situated on a peninsula by Lake Puula, known for its clear water and strong population of pike, pikeperch (zander), bream, trout and perch. These excellent fishing possibilities start from the jetties and shore of Jänissaari.

Jänissaari holiday home is ideal if you want to spend a holiday on your own peninsula with its own private small island but still want to reach your cottage conveniently by car through a causeway. Cottage Jänissaari is ideal for families and groups of friends. The main cottage has two bedrooms with 2 beds in each and a spacious loft upstairs with three beds and one mattress. The kitchen is combined with a dining/living room, which enables spending time together even while cooking. The main cottage also features a well-equipped bathroom, toilet, and electric sauna. There is as well a traditional wood sauna in a separate sauna building on the beach.

Perfect for Fishing Enthusiasts with Their Own Boat

This cottage is also ideal for those who enjoy fishing. You can easily launch a boat from the yard with a four-wheel-drive vehicle, and the boat can be moored at its own pier – optimal for two boats. Electricity is conveniently available from the sauna building located about 15 meters from the pier.

For the summer season 2026, a gravel boat ramp and new pier structures will be completed, allowing boats to be securely moored alongside the pier. Each side will also have four mooring rings for safe and stable docking.

The official boating route is about 400 meters away. The area is excellent for fishing, with pike, zander, and perch often caught. You can also make convenient shopping trips by boat: Kangasniemi Rantatori is about 10 km away and is easily accessible by boat. At the Rantatori, you will find a fueling station and a septic tank emptying point, as well as local market stalls and a quality waterfront restaurant, making shopping and dining by boat simple and enjoyable.
