Autumn adventure: The hues of amethysts in Pyhä-Luosto

Experience a delightful nature getaway right amidst the autumn colours of Pyhä-Luosto National Park in the Parkside Pyhä holiday apartments.

Our autumn break package includes a guided tour to the beautiful Lampivaara Amethyst Mine, where you can marvel at the natural autumn brilliance and even discover your own unique amethyst as a keepsake. The charming little rock shop at the mine also showcases exquisite amethyst products.

The Nature Adventure Accommodation Package includes accommodation and a visit for two adults and two children (under 12 years old). Enjoy comfortable lodgings in a modern apartment (78 m2) with inviting views of the fells from the glassed-in terrace. The apartment also features its own sauna, air conditioning, spacious bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Complimentary Wi-Fi, bed linens, towels, and final cleaning are always included in the price of your reservation.

Pets are welcome in separately designated pet-friendly apartments – after all, they're part of the family too. You can find the pet-friendly apartment under the "additional services" tab. So, get ready for a fun nature adventure with your family, followed by relaxation in a high-quality holiday apartment.

As part of the package, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy an engaging guided tour that departs from the Lampivaara café every hour. You'll hear fascinating stories about the history of amethysts and the enchanting world of Lapland's violet gemstone. The tour culminates in the chance to dig out your own lucky amethyst. The duration of the tour is approximately 1 hour.

The journey to the Amethyst Mine follows a beautiful hiking trail through the landscapes of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The shortest route starts from the Ukko-Luosto parking area, and the walk to the café is about 2.5 km. The path follows a ski track, making it easy to traverse, although uphill. Allow around 45 minutes for the journey so that you can peacefully enjoy the fresh outdoor air and pristine nature of the national park. Along the route, you'll also find Lampivaara's information trail questions, which will make the journey more engaging, even for the little ones in the family.
