Spend a private evening with us in a traditional Finnish smoke sauna in Lapland, a calm and unhurried way to experience local culture and relax in an authentic setting.
The evening is reserved only for your group, and your host will be there to take care of everything. We begin with a flame-grilled salmon dinner, prepared over an open fire, before moving to the sauna.
The smoke sauna, or savusauna, is one of the oldest sauna traditions in Finland and an essential part of Finnish culture. It is heated slowly using a wood-burning method, creating a soft and gentle heat together with the natural scent of wood. The atmosphere is quiet and dim, offering a peaceful setting that many find deeply relaxing.
A traditional Finnish sauna experience is not only about heat, but also about slowing down and being present. The smoke sauna in Lapland offers a unique way to connect with nature and local traditions, far from busy environments and modern distractions.
After the sauna, you can cool down in the ice hole or step into the hot tub. The contrast between heat and cold is an essential part of the experience. Later in the evening, we gather again in the kota for late night snacks.
For many Finns, the smoke sauna has deep cultural and social meaning. It has long been a place for gathering, sharing stories and spending time together without hurry or distractions.
Slippers, bathrobes and sauna hats are provided for your comfort. If you wish, alcoholic beverages can be ordered separately.

Please arrive at the agreed time at Luukonniemi 151. Bring a change of clothes and come as you are, we will take care of the rest.
