The 10 km Husky Safari
Experience the magic of Lapland on an unforgettable husky safari through peaceful, snow-covered wilderness. Feel the excitement as our enthusiastic Alaskan Huskies take you on a 10-kilometre journey surrounded by the beauty and silence of the Arctic nature.
Before departure, our experienced guide will provide a thorough introduction to dog sledding, covering both driving techniques and safety instructions. After the ride, you'll have the opportunity to meet our friendly dogs, learn about their daily lives, and spend some time with them.
The experience concludes in a traditional Finnish kota, where you can warm up by the fire with a hot drink while listening to stories about our dogs, mushing, and life in the North.
Before Your Safari
Activity includes transportation from Noa Villas and back
All activities must be booked in advance.
Please dress appropriately for winter conditions. Activity provider can provide an extra-long outer coat and over-gloves to wear over your own clothing, but proper winter footwear, outerwear, and a warm hat are essential. Dog sledding is not a warm activity.
You can choose to drive your own sled or ride as a passenger in a guide-driven sled.
Each sled accommodates two adults.
Before the safari, we provide comprehensive driving and safety instructions. Guests driving their own sled must have sufficient proficiency in Finnish or English to understand the instructions.
Driving a dog sled requires good physical fitness and body control.
Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, injuries, mobility limitations, or other factors that could affect your participation or safety.
The temperature limit for winter safaris is –30°C for adults and –25°C for children.
Please follow your guide's instructions at all times and treat our dogs with kindness and respect. Our guides are responsible for the safety of both our guests and our dogs.
We kindly ask all visitors to behave calmly while at the kennel.
If we need to cancel the activity due to dangerous weather conditions or other safety reasons, no cancellation fee will be charged.
