The present house, built in the 1750's has been lovingly renovated whilst preserving its architectural features. This handsome residence is situated in its own grounds, substantially set back from the road along a beech lined avenue.

The 18th-century Hunting Lodge at Mount Briscoe is a private self-contained annexe of the family’s Georgian Country House.  Lovingly renovated, stylish & spacious, it is the perfect country getaway.  Expect chic furnishings, beamed ceilings, open stone walls, marble floors, crackling fires, organic food, farm tours, green fields and warm hospitality. 

Your space

The Hunting Lodge is a closed-off wing of the main private residence. The entrance opens to a long kitchen and a spiral staircase that leads to two large bedrooms and a bathroom with full size walk-in shower. The beds are luxurious and comforting. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove and off that a single room and bathroom. The rooms are all spacious with high ceilings and plenty of light.

Food for the soul

The Hunting Lodge’s fully equipped kitchen looks out over the walled garden and courtyard, offering a calm, light-filled space to prepare simple, nourishing meals. In the well-equipped kitchen, you can whip up delicious feasts to savour around the dining table with your favourite people.

Mount Briscoe Farm Larder stocks home made preserves, juice and seasonal vegetables from the kitchen garden.

In the Hunting Lodge you’ll find:

Plenty of logs, firelights, kindling and matches.

Basic kitchen provisions of toilet paper, washing powder, dishwasher tablets and soap will be in your cottage for arrival as well as some larder provisions to get you started – tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, yoghurt, oil, salt and pepper – plus a Firepit for outdoor cooking. 

All bedlinen and towels are included, plus rather lovely toiletries including shower wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

Cots are available on request for tiny wee ones.
