Kuukkeli Apartments Vuotso are situated in a peaceful environment, nestled in the heart of Lapland's nature. It's not uncommon to see a reindeer or two wandering around the yard. The reindeer are semi-tame and there's no need to fear them despite their large antlers.

The village´s grocery shop, K-valinta Sieppi, is about 200 meters away. Other distances from Vuotso heading south are Sodankylä, which is about 90 km away, approximately a one-hour drive; and Rovaniemi, which is about 215 km away, roughly a three-hour drive by car.

Vuotso is a good stop for various northern day trips. Heading north, it's about 10 km to Tankavaara Gold Village. Saariselkä and Shopping Center Kuukkeli are 40 km away, which takes about 40 minutes to drive. Further north, Ivalo is about 72 km away, and Inari's main village is about 110 km away.
