Log Houses Aurora - Secret Cabin

Experience the atmosphere of Finnish cottage life. A secret cottage in the middle of nature along the Hangasoja River. An ideal vacation spot for a self-sufficient, peaceful holiday, but still only a short distance from local services.

The Secret cabin is a renovated and refurnished property located approximately 6 km from the center of Saariselkä, in the Hangasoja holiday cottage area.

In addition to its peaceful location, the wilderness ambiance is enhanced by the small fell river Hangasoja flowing right in front of the cottage.

The cottage's living room features a fireplace and dining set, with a sofa convertible into a bed. Sleeping arrangements include two separate alcoves with new twin beds, each sectioned off by curtains. Above, a low-roofed loft offers additional sleeping space with two mattresses, accessible via a steep staircase.

The kitchen has cooking utensils, an oven, a stove, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. The cottage has running water and it is warm. The water can be used for cooking. There is a toilet and a wood-heated sauna and shower in the same building. The sauna is heated by the customer himself. Firewood is available on site.

There is a campfire spot in the yard and electrical heating poles for two cars in the cottage's parking lot (approximately 100 m away). Customers are responsible for clearing snow between the parking area and the cottage themselves.

The accommodation rate includes bed linen, towels, firewood and after-stay cleaning. The Saariselkä area's excellent ski tracks network, slalom skiing and snowboarding slopes, winter walking and hiking trails to UK Park are a short car ride away.
