Kuukkeli Log Houses Aurora Resort - 4 person studio flat

There are two four-person studio apartments, one of which is #60 Kero in Kiilo, lower house. Another one, #66 Ruoktu is in Rautu, in the upper house.

The apartment has a combined cozy dining and lounge area with beds for four people, a kitchenette, and bathroom. The apartment has spacious wardrobes and a drying cabinet for clothes.

The guest house also has a well-equipped kitchen for common use with all customers and a large and comfortable living room. The living room has a large fireplace made of natural stones, flat screen TV and several soft sofas, armchairs and tables.

During the summer and autumn, there is also a shared summer terrace and aand an electric barbeque grill outside of the house. The shared equipment of the house includes also a washing machine, clothes drying cabinet, iron and ironing board. Complimentary Wi-Fi for guest use.

There is also a distinct sauna house for shared use by all customers, with sauna´s separately for women and men. There is also common room with fireplace and a swimming pool. The saunas areheated every day from 6 pm to 8 pm. In the sauna building is also warm ski maintenance room. A fell stream flows below the sauna building, There is also a nice campfire spot.

The accommodation rate includes bed linen, towels and after-stay cleaning. Free public parking is possible on site, reservation is not required. Smoking is prohibited inside.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE RESORT Kuukkeli Log Houses Aurora Resort is located in Laanila, about 4 km from the center of Saariselkä. Buildings are on a wonderful 1.8-hectare plot in the heart of Lapland's nature. There are two similar large cottages at the site: Kiilo (A House- lower house) and Rautu (B House- upper house), as well as a smaller cottage Kaarna (C House).

The place is ideal for seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) when it's cold and the frosty sky is clear. Outdoor hiking trails and cycling routes, e.g. UK National Park are starting about 100 meters away.
