Your adventure begins with a scenic 15-minute drive from Lyngen North to Rotsund, passing through beautiful Arctic landscapes surrounded by fjords, snowy forests, and dramatic mountain scenery.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the changing facilities where warm thermal suits, boots, gloves, helmets, and all necessary Arctic equipment are provided. After getting dressed for the conditions, you will meet our experienced local guides who will introduce the itinerary, safety procedures, and snowmobile instructions before heading out into the wilderness.
Once ready, the adventure begins as you climb onto the snowmobiles and sleds, starting the journey deep into the Arctic mountains. The route takes you through snow-covered terrain and steep mountain trails toward a remote camp located approximately 700 meters above sea level beside a frozen lake.
The ascent itself is part of the adventure. The steep terrain, Arctic conditions, powerful snowmobiles, and increasing speed create an exciting and unforgettable experience. Watching the skill and confidence of the guides navigating the mountain trails is truly impressive and contagious.
Throughout the journey, several stops are made to admire the breathtaking panoramic views and learn more about the surrounding Arctic wildlife and nature. The scenery is spectacular in every direction, with endless snowy valleys, frozen fjords, and dramatic mountain peaks creating a true Arctic atmosphere.
After approximately 25 minutes of climbing, the group arrives at the mountain camp and cozy hut beside the frozen lake. Here, a fireplace is prepared while guests warm up with hot drinks and enjoy a meal surrounded by untouched Arctic wilderness.
For guests seeking even more adventure, there is also the opportunity to drive the snowmobiles together with the guides under close supervision. These are powerful high-displacement snowmobiles operating in challenging Arctic conditions, which is why all driving activities are carefully guided to ensure both safety and enjoyment.
After relaxing at the camp and taking in the incredible scenery, the adventure continues with the descent back through the mountain trails toward the starting point.
Along the route, it is sometimes possible to observe Arctic wildlife in their natural habitat, including moose, reindeer, and other animals that inhabit the region.
