Melissa (the downstairs room of the summer cabin)

Experience the charm of the Finnish summer and stay in a traditional summer cabin in the courtyard of Kolin Mattila. The cozy twin rooms on the ground floor feature two separate beds, each with warm duvets to ensure a restful night's sleep. The rooms are equipped with electricity, mosquito nets on both the doors and beds, and small heaters to provide comfort even on cooler summer nights. Some rooms are also dog-friendly, but please note that common areas are dog-free. Please be aware that our accommodation is not accessible. 

Our guesthouse is located in a national park, and we strive for sustainability in our operations. Guests have access to two clean composting toilets. Bathing is primarily done in our traditional outdoor sauna, but there is also a shower booth available upstairs in the main building if needed. The water in the guesthouse comes from our own well and is drinkable. We recycle all waste, and recycling points are located at the reception downstairs and in the upstairs guest kitchen. 

The upstairs guest kitchen is available for your use, where you can get drinking water, cook meals, and store food. The kitchen is equipped with hot plates, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a toaster, a coffee maker, a kettle, and all the necessary kitchenware. 

A varied breakfast is included with your stay. It is served in the cozy main room of the guesthouse from 8:00 to 9:00. We use only the finest ingredients in our breakfast, and most of it is made in-house from scratch. Our freshly baked breakfast rolls are served warm, and we slowly simmer our oatmeal to a velvety texture, adding a pinch of cardamom. 

Please note that since our guesthouse is an old building, there is no soundproofing. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Free parking is available for our guests. After dropping off your luggage, please park your car either in the parking area 100 meters away or at the end of the house.
