Hideaway South with Soak Tub - Self-service stay

Hideaway Cabins are open from May to October.

A place where time slows down and the forest breathes around you. A wood-fired outdoor soak tub, running water (outdoors), a summer kitchen, and a private hang-out area to make your stay even more special.

Arrive to an unhurried evening—take a forest walk, bike to a nearby pond, or simply relax. As dusk falls, light the fire under the soak tub, sink into the warm water, and sip a cool drink. Around you, just the peaceful forest and the setting sun.

Wake to sunrise and birdsong. If you've pre-ordered breakfast, freshly baked cinnamon buns and other local treats will be waiting on your cabin’s doorstep.

Before you book
Hilltop Forest is not a hotel or campsite but a peaceful nature retreat. Your stay is self-guided, with no staff or services on-site. Hilltop House and the Forest Spa are not available during your visit.

Arrival instructions will be sent by email. Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 12:00 PM.

Stay longer

We highly recommend a two night stay to fully settle in and enjoy slow days in the forest. For stays of two nights or longer, an automatic long stay discount is applied in our booking system, typically around 20%.

Your stay includes:

• Overnight stay in a minimalist Hideaway Cabin

• Outdoor soak tub and firewood: the tub is filled and heated by you, and it takes about 2-3 hours. If you prefer not to use firewood, you can also fill the tub directly with hot water

• Cold and hot running water available outdoors (no shower)

• Outdoor kitchen: camping grill & hot plate (weather permitting)

• Hang-out area with Hay lounge chairs

• Hilltop linen bathrobes, sheets & towels

• Hilltop bicycles available (first come, first served)

• Final cleaning

• 140 cm bed with a Matri mattress & linen sheets

• Silent small fridge, electric kettle, coffee & tea

• Clean drinking water from the outdoor tap

• Dishware, wine glasses & cookware

• Small writing desk (no dining table)

• Air-source heat pump; heating & cooling

• Private outdoor composting toilet (“huussi”) next to the cabin

• Linen eye masks (no curtains in the cabin)

• Electricity: reading lamps & power outlets

Swimming. A 15-minute walk takes you to a beautiful pond with a rocky shoreline. Directions will be sent with your arrival instructions.

Cancellation policy

The full amount of the reservation is charged at the time of booking. You may cancel your reservation up to 14 days prior to the start of your stay, in which case the paid amount will be refunded minus a 20% booking fee. Cancellations or date changes made less than 14 days before the start of the stay are non-refundable, and this policy also applies in case of illness.
