Unique log villa on the shores of the Kitkajoki River – peace and comfort in nature

Welcome to a peaceful stay in Pitkäniemi, right next to the Kitkajoki River (only 20 m from the shore). This detached log villa, built in 2013, offers a perfect combination of natural tranquility and modern comfort – surrounded by the stunning landscapes of Kuusamo.

The location is excellent: 45 km north of Kuusamo, 22 km to Ruka, and only 4 km to the village of Käylä. The nearest airport is Kuusamo Airport, 45 km away. Oulanka National Park and the Pieni Karhunkierros hiking trail are just 16 km away, offering excellent opportunities for hiking, fishing, and enjoying nature.

At the riverbank, you have access to a private pier, a boat, and a cozy fire pit.

The yard also features a traditional kota hut, providing a comfortable setting for enjoying the outdoors in any weather and enhancing the authentic Lapland atmosphere. Summer evenings are completed by a gas grill, while winter nights are warmed by a fireplace.

The villa (90 m²) accommodates 6 + 2 guests. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with separate beds for two. The loft offers separate beds for two (80 cm) as well as one 120 cm bed.

The villa includes a combined kitchen and living area, an electric sauna, a bathroom with shower/WC, and a separate WC, ensuring a comfortable stay year-round. Pets are welcome for an additional fee, so even furry family members can enjoy a holiday in nature.
