Step into the authentic Finnish cottage life and spend a night at a traditional wilderness cabin – without electricity or running water – just like the locals have done for generations.
The journey begins at the resort after breakfast. You will travel to the cabin (transportation by e.g. boat, canoe, or on foot, depending on location), leaving modern life behind as the forest embraces you.
During the day you will prepare lunch together at the cabin, heat up a traditional wood-burning sauna, and carry fresh water from the lake. The surrounding nature invites you to pick berries or try fishing, and in the evening, you will cook dinner together with your guide.
A relaxing sauna, swimming in the clear lake, and gathering around the evening campfire complete the atmosphere. Accommodation is in shared rooms inside the rustic log cabin.
In the morning, enjoy breakfast followed by outdoor activities in the peaceful nature. Before returning to the resort, you will roast sausages over an open fire for a traditional lunch.
The cabin is not accessible by road – it is truly in the middle of the forest, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
