Icebreaker Tour – 2 hours plus guided transfer

Experience the raw power of the Arctic on this once-in-a-lifetime icebreaker adventure. You'll witness firsthand the essential role these massive ships play in keeping the Baltic coast's shipping lanes open all winter long.

Your journey begins with a comfortable, hour-long transfer from Brändön Lodge or Pine Bay Lodge to the harbor in Piteå. Once aboard, you'll feel the incredible force of the ship as it carves a path through the thick sea ice.

The highlight of the tour comes when the ship stops. Here, you'll have the incredible and rare opportunity to put on a marine survival suit and take a "swim" in the frigid waters in the channel the icebreaker has just created. It's a safe, exhilarating, and truly unforgettable experience.

Onboard, you can warm up with complimentary tea and coffee as you take in the breathtaking icy landscape. The two-hour tour is available two to three days each week.

Your adventure includes a guided transfer to and from the icebreaker, ensuring a seamless and worry-free experience. Pick-up from your lodge is at 08:15, with a return around 13:15, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the journey.
