A wild foraging adventure where you can pick, taste, smell and eat everything that the island's nature has to offer! In search of unique culinary experiences, we head into the woods or to the sea. We prepare a fresh forest tea and later, in the Archipelago Kitchen, we combine the ingredients we have found to create a small tasting.

A positive attitude! All necessary ingredients and utensils will be provided on site.

The programme

The course takes place in small groups and begins with a relaxed aperitif (non-alcoholic) to get to know each other. Then we go out into the forest and/or to the sea. On a walk, we collect our ingredients: berries, herbs, seaweed, plant parts... You will learn a lot about the nature and culture of the island. Under Sami's guidance, we will prepare the ingredients we have found and then taste them. We cook with excellent ingredients from the region.

The courses are entertaining and give you an insight into the aromatic diversity of the island world. In each course, you will receive valuable information on the respective topic and the culture of the Finnish archipelago. So that you can recreate the dishes at home, you will receive a personal, beautifully designed recipe from us at the end of the cooking course.

The courses are suitable for all levels of cooking experience and offer an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the flavours of the Finnish archipelago and inspire your own creativity. To ensure that all course participants understand everything, the courses are mainly held in English. However, we also speak German and Finnish and can switch between languages.
