Meals around the campfire have always been part of archipelago cuisine. In midsummer, the archipelago region celebrates not only the cooking experience but also spending time together in nature. In this cooking course, we use flame, embers and smoke to delight our palates. Eating around a campfire should be fun. We will start by lighting the fire. Later, we will prepare delicious flambéed salmon, smoke food in a smoker and create a delicious outdoor meal.

The programme
The courses take place in small groups and begin with a relaxed aperitif (non-alcoholic) to get to know each other. Then we go to the fire pit and light a fire (if it's too windy, we use the charcoal grill in the outdoor kitchen). After a brief introduction to the dishes and an explanation of the ingredients, we prepare the dishes together under Sami's guidance. We cook with excellent ingredients from the region. Afterwards, we eat the finished dishes arround the firepit or in our outdoor kitchen.
The courses are entertaining and give you an insight into the aromatic diversity of the island world. In each course, you will receive valuable information about the respective topic and the culture of the Finnish archipelago. So that you can recreate the dishes at home, you will receive a personal, beautifully designed recipe from us at the end of the cooking course.
The courses are suitable for all levels of cooking experience and offer an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the flavours of the Finnish archipelago and inspire your own creativity. To ensure that all course participants understand everything, the courses are mainly held in English. However, we also speak German and Finnish and can switch between languages.
