Guided tour Potholes on Rullestad (A)

This is a family-friendly trail/route with an A rating according to the international grading scale, and can be completed without belaying. The route is marked, and expected time for the entire round trip is 2–3 hours.

Take the E134 exit at Rullestad Camping, and follow the old road up Rullestadjuvet for about 2 km until you reach a sheep pen. Park your car here, and then continue on foot up for about 100 meters. Turn left from the road and follow the marked path up, first through some forest, before following the rock layers up.

Then you will come down to a new section of forest. Here there is easy climbing in steps up until you reach the first Jettegrytene. In this area there are several Jettegrytene that you can climb up and see.

After the Jettegrytene, you continue up with partial climbing in steps and walking on the path until you reach the top, Jettegrytenuten. From the top of Jettegrytenuten follow a marked path down towards the river, and further down the Old Post Road until you enter the old E134 and follow it down the Rullestadjuvet back to the starting point.
